Raya is Too Sweet to Be Left Behind

Raya is only two years old, but somehow she’s already been given up on. This sweet Boxer/Pit mix was surrendered by the only family she knew and now sits quietly in a rural Virginia shelter, watching strangers pass her by, not understanding why no one is coming back for her. She leans sweetly into anyone who stops at her kennel, still so trusting, still hoping for kindness, even after being left behind. But shelters like hers don’t have the space or time to wait for second chances, and without help, dogs like Raya are too often forgotten. Homeward Trails wants to bring her to safety, to a warm foster home where she can finally exhale and feel loved again. However, they can’t do it without donations. Raya is ready to give her whole heart to someone, she just needs someone to give her that chance.
