Carolina Boxer's mission is to balance the health, safety, and welfare needs of Boxers in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and parts of Georgia by providing a safe and loving environment for stray, abused, impounded, and owner surrendered dogs by placing them in foster homes and ultimately forever homes.

Carolina Boxer Rescue (CBR) plays an important role in the communities we serve. CBR is dedicated to saving boxers and placing them in their forever homes. The absence of a local animal rescue can put a real strain on municipal resources. Animal rescues help overcrowded local shelters by taking in pets, putting them into foster homes and getting them the vetting and training they need, then adopting them out into the community. CBR is also dedicated to bringing the communities we serve together. We place importance on pet owners and their pets having fun together to form stronger bonds. In addition to rescuing dogs and bringing pet owners together, we pride ourselves on educating people on what is entailed with pet ownership and how to be a good pet owner. We meet people through in-person events, connect with them via social media and our email newsletter. When someone adopts a dog from CBR, we are a resource for them for life. We are there to help them with training and behavioral needs, will connect them with local area vets, and, if they are ever in a position where they can no longer keep the dog, we will take the dog back, no questions asked. 

In rural areas, many people are not educated on pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering their pets, and keeping their pets up-to-date on vaccines. We educate our followers on pet ownership in hopes that they will take better care of their pets.
