For nearly 50 years, Pet Helpers has been a cornerstone of compassion in the Lowcountry. Founded in 1975 and based in beautiful Charleston, our organization was built on a simple but powerful belief: every animal deserves safety, love, and a chance at a better life.

What began as a small, passionate effort to help homeless pets has grown into one of the region’s most trusted animal welfare organizations.
