I adopted Jake from SCCR in 2016. He has been with me 5 years now and I consider each day a blessing. Pups like him need help everyday and we try to rescue as many as we can at SCCR. We need your help to accomplish this act of mercy.
I have fostered 21 dogs in 5 years. Some stayed 2 weeks with me and some stayed 5 months. We heal their bodies but sometimes healing their hearts and souls takes a little longer. We all have the patience and the love to help them through this difficult time in their lives.
At one time, Jake had an older partner. Tim was my first rescue and he and Jake became a team. Tim would give them comfort and confidence while they were healing. After they were physically well, his job was done and Jake took over to teach them to be happy. In our Adoption Center, there is a kennel dedicated to Tim. The plaque on it reads “Take my paw, don’t be afraid. We’re here to help you. Today begins your new life.”
Please help us continue this work.
