Life Has Been Hard on Ace

Ace is a handsome collie mix that was found wandering as a stray in rural VA. Like so many stray dogs, we have no idea if Ace was ever loved or cared for. It is clear he spent a long time living alone outside. Dodging cars, scrounging for food and always on the search for a safe place to sleep, Ace is surely tired and sad from being homeless. We know that stray dogs face a lot of hardships, which is why Homeward Trails wants to make Ace's life a whole lot better. He has been living in a shelter while waiting for a rescue to come and save him and now is his chance at starting a new life! The only thing standing in his way is that enough funds must be raised to get him veterinary care and transportation to the DC area.
