Cheech is a handsome black, white, and brown Shepherd mix that was surrendered to a shelter in rural Virginia due to no fault of his own. He was surrendered by his owner because his owner could no longer care for him – and at only 2 years old, his owner is most likely the only person and safe place he’s ever known. Rural shelters often have low resources, low foot traffic, and higher euthanasia rates – often putting dogs like Cheech at high risk.
