In under 24 hours we have almost 30 cats in house. We have a momma dog and 2 newborn pups. We have two 8-week pups. We took a very terrified female dog to the vet for spay and heartworm treatment. We are headed out to bring fencing to a property with 15 dogs in order to get the dogs off chains and into areas where they can run safely. We have delivered hundreds of pounds of food.

We remain on site at a large trailer park that we were warned not to visit without police or animal control (but we did anyway and continue to do so) and are met each time by friendly animal lovers who welcome us with open hearts. This park has over 100 cats and the property has been sold, forcing most residents to leave. And the cats now have no caretakers. Our partner here has been working hard to get volunteer into feed, trap them all and get them spayed (some of which HT has helped with when we first visited over a year ago). We took food to the kitties and removed several we are bringing back for fosters - for outdoor kitties they are VERY friendly and loving.

Our year-end trip down here on the VA/NC border is always one of our most rewarding because the need is so great and we have such an amazing team.

Fencing for the dogs on just one property will cost $3,000. Spay/Neuter for 60 cats will cost $3,000. The vetting for the mom and female dog as well as the pups will be another $800.

If we accomplish all we want on this trip we are looking at a cost of $11,500. But these animals and the people who love them are worth it!!

And we are just in DAY TWO! Please donate any amount.
