It has been a long road to health for Franco. The final step is another amputation and prosthetic.

When Franco first came to us, he was in such terrible shape. He was missing a leg. One of his front wrists appeared to have been broken and allowed to heal (badly) on its own. He had an open wound on his elbow. He needed a vet to understand his condition and provide some much needed relief. So we asked for your help

As we got his test results, and we learned the severity of his injuries, we knew he would be needing even more help. So we increased his goal, and asked for your help again

Now, we're here to ask for your help one more time. Hopefully the last time, for sweet Franco. Given the shape he was in when he arrived, it has taken some time for his body to heal and for us to better understand the potential long-term effects of his injuries. As you can see in his photo, the stump of his back leg is still raw and painful! After several consultations, his veterinary team has determined the best thing for Franco will be to amputate and remove the difficult limb entirely.

While this will provide relief, it will leave Franco with only two working legs. To give him some mobility and independence, we are looking to fit him with a prosthetic from Bionic Pets! With the painful, broken limbs removed and a quality prosthesis in place, Franco will finally know the comfortable, pain-free life we've dreamed for him.

After all he has been through, the finish line is so close! And we can help him get there. With your help, at long last Franco will be able to run, and play, and be the dog he so desperately wants to be.
