8.23.2021 -- Heather has some of the most complicated ear issues we've seen. She has chronic ear infections, and what's more, those infections are resistant to a number of antibiotics.
The best option we have of treating her ear infections, and the severe pain and fluid buildup that goes along with them, is packing her ears. This procedure requires a veterinarian. They use a special tool to place a medication with a thick, Vaseline-type consistency deep within the ear. This thick medication then stays in place to calm symptoms and fight the infection, while being slowly absorbed by the body. Heather will need this done every 2 weeks, for at least 2 months.
We need about $120 to cover the rest of Heather's bill! Every dollar helps ensure she no longer has to live with the constant pain of an ear infection.
Heather has been having some painful ear issues! She has chronic SEVERE ear infections. Her ears are so bad, that fluid will build up and eventually ooze out of her ear. Ouch!
We've tried a few different treatments, but have been unsuccessful. We recently ran a culture and found that her infections are resistant to a number of antibiotics. Her treatment options are limited. The best option for Heather is to see the veterinarian to have her ears packed every 2 weeks, for at least 2 months.
With ear packing, the veterinarian is able to place a medication with a thick, Vaseline-type consistency deep within the ear. The thick medication then stays in place to calm symptoms and fight the infection, while being slowly absorbed by the body. Given the sensitive placement of the medication, ear packing must be performed by a veterinarian.
We're hopeful this treatment plan will finally give Heather some relief. But we need to cover all the costs of these vet visits!
