Mazzy's Life is a Mystery

Found as a stray in southern VA, Mazzy's past life is a mystery. He was brought into a rural shelter where the staff figured that such a unique looking dog surely would have an owner come and claim him. Sadly, no one has come for this 2 year old lab mix. He is relieved to not have to live a scary life on the streets, but life in the shelter isn't much better. It is loud, the smells are strong and there is certainly no comfortable place to lay. Mazzy sleeps on a cold cement floor, dreaming of the day where someone comes to rescue him for good. Homeward Trails saw Mazzy's striking eyes and immediately was eager to put him on the transportation list to the DC area as soon as possible. However, like all the rescue dogs, enough funds have be raised so that Mazzy can receive proper veterinary care before setting off on his new life.
