9.26.2021 -- Serafina went to the vet and had to be sedated so we could get the x-rays we needed to determine whether there were any masses obstructing her nose or ears. After a thorough examination, we've decided to try a different, long-course antibiotic. She will also have her ears packed, which means a veterinarian will use a special tool to place a thick ointment-like medication deep within her ear where it can be absorbed slowly over time. We're hopeful the combination of treatments will be the key to ending Serafina's suffering.
Serafina has a URI that she just can't shake! The poor girl came to us with an infection. She has been to the vet, she has been on different antibiotics, but nothing has resolved her issues. It's gotten so bad, that she is experiencing nose bleeds!
Serafina is heading back to the vet tomorrow, so we can hopefully resolve her URI once and for all. She will need bloodwork sent off to the lab, so we can better understand what we are up against, and what support she will need to recover.
There is nothing Serafina wants more than to find her loving forever home, and we're desperate to make her dreams come true! But we just cannot adopt this sweet girl out until we know she is feeling better.
