A Puppy Who’s Never Known a Real Home

Teddy Bear is only nine months old, but his short life has already been far too lonely. This sweet Airedale/Aussie mix grew up outside in rural Virginia, watching the world from a yard instead of being part of a family. While other puppies were learning about couches, toys, and bedtime snuggles, Teddy Bear was learning how to entertain himself and survive the weather. When he was surrendered to one of our partner shelters, he arrived confused and unsure, his sweet puppy eyes searching for someone he knew, someone who would tell him he was safe. He is still just a baby. He still leans in for affection like he’s been waiting his whole life for it. Homeward Trails wants to bring Teddy Bear to their rescue so he can finally experience warmth, stability, and love, but we cannot pull him without the funds to cover his medical care, transport, and foster placement.
