KITTEN WITH TWO RUPTURED EYEBALLS & A CAT WITH A MANGLED TAIL!

We are LIVE in the field in Danville for our Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return event and for our monthly outreach and field work. We will be sterilizing, vaccinating, microchipping and feeding more than 75 cats and kittens and rescuing cats and dogs from the nearby very-full shelter.

As usual, our field work is proving lifesaving already. Violet and her sister were found in the field, starved, suffering and near death. Violet has two badly ruptured eyes which will render her permanently blind as both will need to be removed. For now though, she must gain weight and get healthier to make it through surgery. So all that can be done immediately is pain relief, deworming and lots of cuddles and food. Her suffering is immense and our hearts hurt to think of what would happen to this tiny girl if she had not been found. We need funds to get them both well and to have the surgery done as soon as she is big enough (2 lbs!)

Meanwhile, poor Steve has been enduring a badly infected wounded tail that is completely degloved - and has been since July 4th. It is completely infected and raw with no skin on it. You can see the bright red painful tail from yards away. Poor Steve is a thriving outdoor cat who was attacked by a groundhog and almost died. His caretakers though had nowhere affordable to take him, no way to trap him and no help from local animal control as they will not trap cats for anything other than euthanasia. And so his suffering continued until we got to town.

We now have him safely in a trap where we will get him to the vet and his tail surgically repaired asap - but we need funds to make this happen!

Our sterilization cost will be a minimum of $3,500 and these medical emergencies another $2,000 and IT'S JUST OUR FIRST DAY IN THE FIELD!
