Lolo Was Caught in a Snare!

Traps and snares are the most horrific things on the planet and should be illegal. We say that without hesitation. No animal should ever endure the torture of such.

And yet, we have ANOTHER dog who has been a victim to a horrible person and a horrible experience she will never forget.

Sweet Lolo arrived at a rural shelter with a terrible leg injury. It was clear quite quickly that her leg had been badly injured. It appears to have been caught in a trap - how it was not severed we'll never know. We have seen so many dogs and cats come to us with legs that were partially severed, chewed, and more. This should NEVER HAPPEN.

In addition to the visible trauma in her leg, an exam diagnosed her with a ruptured tendon.  The pain this girl has suffered hurts our hearts so badly we can barely write this.

The pain she still has is awful - so bad that she can't use the leg.. Watching her try to walk on it (when she gets too tired to lift it up) is heartbreaking. A leg amputation is the only thing that's going to give her back her ability to run and quality of life. There are no medical options at this point the vet feels can save her leg and give her the pain-free life she deserves.

And so her life will change forever - and she will become a three-legged girl. But she will know love and kindness and warmth and we know, given what a fighter she is, that she will endure and soon be romping on her three good legs and being the happy, healthy puppy she was destined to be.

We need to get this surgery done asap to get her out of pain and we need the funds to do so. PLEASE - help Lolo start her life as a tri-pod who will soon know only sunshine filled days of love and kindness.
