Moose is a handsome 3 year old Beagle whose life quietly unraveled long before he landed in a southern Virginia shelter. His owner had too many dogs and couldn’t care for them, so Moose was surrendered with nothing but the hope that someone else might give him a better life. Then came the heartworm diagnosis, the kind of news that crushes a dog’s chances in a rural shelter where resources are scarce and adoptions are few. Now Moose waits in a cold run, sick and confused, with no idea that time is working against him.
