Sweet Sam Needs Someone To Save Him

Sam is a 2 year old Catahoula mix who walked into the vet’s office with the only family he had ever known, never realizing he would be left behind. We don’t know why his owner left him there, only that one moment he had a home, familiar voices, and a warm place to sleep, and the next he was alone and confused, watching the door close without him. A partner shelter stepped in so he would have somewhere to go, but the shelter is cold and loud, and Sam doesn’t understand how his whole world disappeared in a single day. It is heartbreaking to see a dog who once belonged to someone sit quietly in a kennel, waiting for footsteps that will never return. Homeward Trails wants to bring Sam back to safety and show him that not every goodbye is forever, but they cannot rescue him without donations to cover his care and transport. Please help us give Sam the second chance he so desperately needs.
