Mia is only three years old, but she’s already survived more fear than any dog should. She was found wandering alone, dodging cars, searching for scraps, and trying to stay alive in a world that isn’t kind to stray dogs. Mia was found and brought to a rural shelter. Now she sits in a lonely shelter kennel with no adopters in sight, doing her best to wag her tail and stay cheerful even though her days are quiet, cold, and bleak. She presses her face to the bars whenever someone walks by, hoping today might finally be her turn.
